    1 two-pound bag chunky hash browns
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 16 oz. carton sour cream
    1 chopped onion
    3 cups grated Cheddar/Monterey Jack cheese mixture
    1-3/4 sticks butter/margarine
    Salt & pepper to taste
    3 cups corn flakes

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together the frozen hash
    browns, soup, sour cream, chopped onion, 1-1/2 cups grated cheese, one stick
    melted butter/margarine and salt & pepper. Turn the mixture into a 9 X 13
    glass pan. Spread the remaining 1-1/2 cups cheese over the top. Melt the
    remaining ¾-stick of butter/margarine in a medium size bowl in the microwave.
    Mix the corn flakes and melted butter together and spread over top of hash
    brown mixture. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour until bubbly and browned on
    top. Enjoy!

    (This can be made up the day before and refrigerated for baking later)
