List of Ingredients
1 loaf, 16 oz. Sweet Bread
1/4 lb. thinly sliced Ham
1/4 lb. thinly sliced Roast Beef
1/4 lb. thinly sliced Turkey Breast
8 - 9 slices Mozzarella Cheese
8 - 9 slices Muenster Cheese
2 large beefsteak tomatoes
1 large purple onion
1 small head iceburg lettuce
3 oz. Italian salad dressingRecipe
Shop for the meat and cheese in the deli section of the market.
1. Slice the Bread loaf creating a top & bottom, about as high as the top of the pan it comes in. Leave the bottom part of the loaf in the pan. With a spoon, spread the Italian dressing on both the top and bottom of the loaf. The inside of the loaf should be just moist, not sopping wet.
2. The sandwich is made with layers of each ingredient. Spread each, all the way to the edge of the loaf. With the tomatoes and onion, you'll need about 9 or 10 slices each.
3. Start layering, with lettuce on the bottom, then meat, cheese, tomatoes, meat, cheese, onion, meat, and a little more lettuce on top.
4. Finish by capping the pile with the top part of the loaf.
5. Carefully slice, with a serrated knife, into six equal pieces. Use a pie spatula to get the slices out of the tin.
