List of Ingredients
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound ground beef
3 tablespoons picante
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoons garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
tortillas
2 fresh ripe tomatoes
1/4 head lettuce, shredded
2 green onions, sliced (with tops)
fresh cilantro (to taste)
avocado
shredded cheddar and/or jack cheese
sour cream (ranch dressing is tastey)
picante sauce (for garnish) Recipe
Saute onions and garlic in olive oil in large Dutch oven over medium-high heat until onions are clear and soft. Add ground beef and cook until brown.
Combine picante and next 7 ingredients. Add to beef mixture and cook about 15 minutes. To make burritos, warm each tortilla on a dinner plate lined with a paper towel. (We like 8" flour tortillas; microwave on high for 12 seconds on each side. However, your microwave might cook it to "chew toy" consistency; so, experiment.) Place a couple tablespoons meat mixture atop each tortilla. Compliment the meat with the garnishes that you like. Roll up and enjoy (with lots of napkins!).
