    2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    2 medium onions finely chopped
    1/2 cup catsup
    6 tablespoons brown sugar
    6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 cup prepared steak sauce
    2 tablespoons cider vinegar
    1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

    Recipe



    In medium sized saucepan, heat butter over medium low heat. Add onions and sauté for five minutes, but do not allow them to brown. Stir in catsup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, vinegar, 1/2 cup water and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, wash and sterilize 2 pint jars. Pour sauce into hot jars. Cap, cool and freeze or refrigerate for 2 to 3 weeks.
