    2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    2 medium onions finely chopped
    1/2 cup catsup
    6 tablespoons brown sugar
    6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 cup prepared steak sauce
    2 tablespoons cider vinegar
    1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

    In medium sized saucepan, heat butter over medium low heat. Add onions and saut� for five minutes, but do not allow them to brown. Stir in catsup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, vinegar, 1/2 cup water and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, wash and sterilize 2 pint jars. Pour sauce into hot jars. Cap, cool and freeze or refrigerate for 2 to 3 weeks.
