    In a small saucepan combine 1 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp. corn syrup, ¾ cup milk, and ¼ tsp. salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture boils. Reduce heat to medium-low and boil gently, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring frequently to avoid bubbling over. Remove from heat and whisk in 1/3 cup peanut butter; stir in ½ tsp. vanilla. Cool about 30 minutes. Serve warm over chocolate or vanilla ice cream. Makes 1 ¼ cups.
