    Yolk 1 egg
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup scalded milk
    1 teaspoon lemon juice
    1 teaspoon cornstarch Grated rind
    1/4 lemon
    White 1 eggs

    Recipe



    Beat egg yolk until thick and lemon-colored and three-fourths of sugar gradually, while beating constantly. Mix remaining sugar with cornstarch and salt and pour on, gradually, scalded milk. Cook in double boiler ten minutes, stirring constantly. Combine mixtures, add flavorings and egg white, beaten until stiff.
