Potato Soup with Sausage Balls

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 small onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
3 or 4 potatoes, diced
1/2 pound loose pork sausage, formed into small balls about 1-inch in diameter
2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 cups water
1 egg
3 cups milk
Sauté onion and celery in butter. Add potatoes, sausage balls, salt, and water and cook until potatoes are tender.
Break egg into potato mixture and stir with fork until cooked. Add milk and heat thoroughly.
Makes 4 servings
