Tortilla Ball Soup

List of Ingredients
10 corn tortillas, torn
1/4 cup milk
1 small onion, cut up
1 clove garlic
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
3 cups beef broth
1 4-oz can whole green chiles, seeded, rinsed and chopped
1/4 cup (10 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup light cream
2 Tbs taco sauce
Recipe
Place tortillas and milk in blender container; let stand 5
minutes.
Add onion, garlic, egg, salt and pepper. Cover and blend
until mixture is smooth. Turn mixture into bowl; fold in
chiles and cheese. Shape mixture into 18 one-inch balls
using about 1 tablespoon mixture for each. Fry tortilla
balls in 1/2 inch hot oil for 1 1/2 minutes or until
lightly browned, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Keep
warm.
In saucepan, combine beef broth, cream and taco sauce.
Heat thoroughly. Taste for seasoning; add additional taco
sauce if desired. Add tortilla balls. Serve immediately.
Serves 6.
