Vegetable Crab Soup

List of Ingredients
1 gallon water
4 ounces beef bouillon crystals
1/4 cup barley
3 cups whole tomatoes, crushed
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 pound cabbage
1/4 pound celery
1/4 pound onions
1/4 pound green peppers
1 pound frozen mixed vegetables
1 pound crab meat
Put water in a large pot; bring to boil and add beef bouillon crystals. Add barley, tomatoes, bay leaf and pepper. Simmer for 1 hour.
Coarsely chop cabbage, celery, onions and green pepper. Add to soup and simmer for 1 hour. Then add mixed vegetables and crab meat and simmer until vegetables are tender.
Makes 24 cups
