1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup HP sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
3/4 tsp salt and pepper
1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsp mustard
3 Tbsp milk
2 Tbsp. ketchup
1 large head iceberg lettuce, coarsely chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 tomato, seeded and chopped
8 dill pickles

Preheat the grill to medium-high. Whisk egg with HP sauce, garlic, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Crumble in the meat and blend gently just until combined. Shape into four patties, each about 1-1/2 inch (4 cm) thick. Grill the burgers for 5 minutes. Turn and grill for an additional 5 minutes or until an instant read thermometer into the side of the burger registers 160 F (71 C). Meanwhile, blend the mayonnaise, mustard, milk and ketchup. Arrange lettuce on the platter. Quarter the burgers and scatter over the lettuce. Drizzle with mayonnaise dressing. Sprinkle cheese and tomato over top. Garnish with pickles and croutons.
