Herbed Bread and Sausage Stuffing

10 cups (1 inch) bread cubes
3 medium onions, chopped
3 celery ribs, thinly sliced
2 pounds sweet Italian sausage
1 small can sliced olives
3 fresh basil leaves, finely minced
3 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried sage
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
1 stick unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup water
Recipe
Cut sausage into 1/2 inch slices and saute in large pan until completely cooked. Add chopped onion, celery, olives, all herbs and butter and stir to combine. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes. Stir in bread, broth, water, and salt and pepper to taste, then cool completely. Make sure your stuffing is completely cool before stuffing into turkey. Stuff bird immediately before cooking, never earlier. Delicious! My family raves over this stuffing every year.
