    Sour Cream Coffee Cake Trifle

    List of Ingredients

    1 baked 8 or 9 inch sour cream coffee cake with cinnamon nut streusel topping and swirl
    ( loaf, tube or bundt variety - home made best or store bought )
    1, 16 oz can Hershey's chocolate syrup
    32 oz frozen strawberries in sugar syrup, thawed
    1 large container of whipped topping or one pint cream whipped
    1 small jar of maraschino cherries in juice
    mint leaves for garnish


    When cake is completely cold, tear up in coarse chunks. In a glass bowl layer the cake with enough berries , juice, chocolate syrup, cut of maraschino and juice and repeat layers again. Spread whipped topping or whipped cream over the trifle. Cover and chill well. Serves 12.
    Serve individual portions in glass bowls or dishes
    Note: variations: egg nog coffee cake would also work well in the recipe.
