Asparagus Parisian

2 pounds fresh asparagus
Salt to taste or not
¼ pound Parmesan cheese, grated
2 cups sour cream
Pepper or cayenne
2 Tablespoons breadcrumbs (make your own from our delicious breads, the store-bought brands have too many unhealthy additives)
4 Tablespoons butter or less
Paprika
Recipe
Cook asparagus in salted water until just tender, I prefer to steam the asparagus. Drain. Layer asparagus and cheese several times in a buttered or spray 9-inch square casserole, ending with a layer of asparagus. Season sour cream with pepper and cover layers. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, dot with butter, and top with paprika. Bake until golden brown.
