    Green Beans and Pan-Roasted Onions

    1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
    5 cups water
    3/4 pound green beans, trimmed
    2 teaspoons brown sugar
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 onions, each cut into 8 wedges
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 cup chicken broth

    Recipe



    Bring water to a boil in saucepan; add beans. Cook 6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain & keep warm. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion; saute 8 minutes or until browned. Add broth; cook 3 minutes, stir often. Stir in vinegar & remaining 3 ingredients. Stir in beans; cover & cook 2 minutes.
