    1 tbsp vegetable oil
    knob of butter
    1 onion, peeled & finely chopped
    ¼ tsp chilli powder
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    pinch asafoetida ( optional)
    pinch of garam masala
    ¼ tsp ground cumin
    ¼ tsp ground coriander
    1 tomato, chopped
    10 oz can marrowfat processed peas

    Recipe



    Heat the oil in a frying pan and add the butter, onion, chilli powder, garlic and asafoetida. Fry the mixture for 5 minutes or until the onions are soft.

    Mix in the garam masala, cumin and coriander and cook for 30 seconds. Add the tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.

    Add the peas and stir for a minute until heated through. You can use this to stuff chapatis or serve as a side dish,
