    Sunday Dinner Sauteed Broccoli

    1/4 cup butter
    2 cloves garlic, pressed
    4 cups broccoli florets
    3/4 cup red onion, chopped
    1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/4 cup red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch strips
    1 teaspoon mixed Italian spices
    7 ounces chicken stock
    Salt and pepper to taste

    Melt butter in large skillet and saute garlic one minute.

    Add broccoli, red onion, mushrooms, bell pepper and Italian herbs. Saute until broccoli is lightly browned.

    Add chicken stock and mix well.

    Turn heat to high and let liquid reduce almost completely. Be careful not to burn the broccoli or let the mixture completely dry out. Salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
