    Spinach and Artichoke Dip

    2 (14-ounce) cans artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped
    1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
    1 cup grated Romano cheese
    1 cup low-fat mayonnaise
    1/2 cup light sour cream
    1/2 small onion, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
    1 teaspoon grated lemon zest

    Recipe



    1. Place artichoke hearts, spinach, cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, garlic and crushed red pepper in a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker; mix well. Cover and cook until the cheese has melted and the dip is hot, 1-2 hours on high or 3-4 hours on low.

    2. At the end of the cooking time, stir in the lemon zest. Serve the dip warm.
