List of Ingredients
6 oz uncooked egg noodles
1 pound 90% lean/10% fat raw ground beef
1 cup mushroom(s)
1/3 cup onion(s)
2 clove garlic clove(s)
2 cup no-salt tomato paste
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp table salt
12 oz 1% low-fat cottage cheese
8 oz fat-free sour cream
1/3 cup scallion(s)
2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp poppy seeds
3/4 cup Kraft Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 serving cooking spray (5 one-second sprays per serving)
Recipe
1. Cook noodles according o package directions, omitting salt & fat. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook beef, mushrooms, onion & garlic in large, nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain in colander. Wipe drippings from skillet. Return meat mitxture to skillet and add tomato sauce, pepper, and salt.
3. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, scallions, poppy seeds (optional) and parmesan cheese in large bowl. Stir in meat mixture, noodles and 1/3 c. cheddar cheese.
4. Spoon mixture into 2-quart casserole coated with cooking spray. Cover and chill 8 hours (optional).
5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
6. Remove casserole from refrigerator and let stand 30 minutes at room temperature (optional); Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with remaining cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered for 5 more minutes.
