    List of Ingredients


    • 2 c rye flour
    • 2 c barley flour
    • 2 c brown rice flour
    • 2 c bulgur
    • 1/2 c ground flaxseed meal
    • 1 c cornmeal
    • 1/2 c instant non-fat dry milk
    • 4 t salt
    • 1 envelope dry yeast
    • 1/4 c very warm water
    • 2-3 c chicken broth
    • 1 egg
    • 1 T milk


    Instructions


    1. In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients.
    2. Sprinkle yeast over warm water & stir to dissolve.
    3. Add yeast mixture & 2 c broth to the flour mixture.
    4. Mix with hands (dough will be very stiff); if necessary add a little more broth.
    5. On a floured surface roll out the dough to 1/4" thickness.
    6. Cut in desired shapes & place on baking sheets.
    7. Beat egg & milk together. Brush tops of biscuits lightly with mixture.
    8. Bake 300' for 45 minutes. Turn oven off & let biscuits remain in the oven overnight.


    Final Comments


    You may use canned broth, or substitute leftover water from cooked vegetables.
