    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 lb bacon
    • 1/2 c butter
    • 1 c carrots, diced
    • 1 c onion
    • 1 c potato, diced
    • 1/2 c celery, sliced
    • 1 1/2 c flour
    • 4 c chicken broth
    • 2 c milk
    • 2 c half & half
    • 2 c cream
    • 1 T garlic, minced
    • 1 t pepper
    • 3 (7oz) cans chopped clams


    Instructions


    1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until starting to brown.
    2. Add butter to skillet.
    3. Add carrots, onions, potato & celery. Cook & stir until
      vegetables are tender but not brown.
    4. When vegetables are cooked add flour. Cook for about 2 minutes, allowing flour to cook while stirring.
    5. Add chicken broth, milk, cream & half & half. Cook & stir until smooth & bubbly.
    6. Add garlic, pepper & chopped clams.
    7. Transfer to a Slow Cooker. Cook on low for 3 hours.


    Final Comments


    Freezes well.
