    WE LIKE THIS WITH COFFEE FOR BREAKFAST OR ANYTIME

    List of Ingredients






    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk

    Recipe




    Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and salt. Cream together butter, sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Spread batter in greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. --TOPPING:--

    Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. Mix well. Sprinkle over batter. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until done.
