This is very interesting as it come from a cookbook from the 1800's
List of Ingredients
2 eggs
2 c. hominy
Sweet milk (1 c. or more as needed)
1 c. cornmeal
1 tbsp. melted lardRecipe
Beat eggs, add to cold boiled hominy corn and cornmeal with melted lard. Add milk until batter is thin. Heat iron frying pan, add lard and a sprinkle of dry corn meal in pan. Pour in batter. Cook at 450 degrees (hot oven). -- From the 1800's.
