Recipe Introduction


My mama made these frequently for us when I was a child. To come home from school and have these ready was a special treat.


List of Ingredients






2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
4 c. flour

Recipe




Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Sift flour and baking powder together, gradually add to creamed mixture. Roll dough to about 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut out with cookie cutters. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet until light brown.
