Recipe Introduction
A FAVORITE AT OUR HOME. WE HAD THIS ON VACATION AT SAVANNAH AND HAVE MADE IT AT HOME MANY TIMES SINCE.
List of Ingredients
1 lb. okra, cut in 1/4 inch rings,
cleaned
3 cans stewed or Rotel tomatoes
2 med. onions
2 bell peppers
1 pod garlic
2 lb. crab meat
1/2 day whole fresh crab or frozen
15 lb. shrimp
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 stalk celery
1 tbsp. crab boilRecipe
Fry okra, cut up bell pepper, onion, garlic and celery in fry pan. Add vinegar. Fry for about 45 minutes. Then add stewed tomatoes. Let fry for another 25 minutes. Put in large pot of boiling water about gallon and half. Add crab boil. Brown 3 tablespoons flour. Add to it. Boil for about 30 minutes. Then add crab meat, shrimp and whole crab. Boil for 20 minutes.
