    Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie

    Source of Recipe

    Internet

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup old-fashioned oats
    4 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 large egg
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
    1/3 cup reduced-fat sour cream
    3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    Recipe

Heat oven to 375°F. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. Whisk flour, baking soda & salt together in a medium bowl. Stir in oats. Beat butter, brown sugar & granulated sugar together in a large mixer bowl at high speed until well blended.
Add egg & vanilla; beat until light & creamy, about 3 minutes. Blend in sour cream with a wooden spoon, then stir in flour mixture all at once; stir just until combined (don't over mix or the cookies may become tough). Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto lined baking sheets. Bake until cookies are golden, about 10 minutes. Cool on baking sheets 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks & cool completely. Store remaining cookies in airtight containers up to 2 weeks or freeze up to 3 months. One serving equals one cookie. Points: 1
