    pie pastry dough (store bought)
    1/2 cup pepper jelly
    1/2 shredded mild cheddar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tbs water

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Roll out dough out on a lightly floured surface. Using a round cookie cutter, or lip of a juice glass, cut out 20 circles of dough. Fill each circle with a teaspoon of jelly and a pinch of cheese. Once done filling, fold each circle over (into half moon shape). Seal edges with fork prongs. Combine egg and water. Brush each turnover with some of the mixture. Bake until golden brown, about 20-25 mins.
