    1 cup warm water
    1 medium egg
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/3 cup sugar
    3 cups bread flour
    1 package dry yeast
    cornmeal -- as needed

    Recipe



    Put ingredients except for the cornmeal into bread machine in order given.

    Turn machine to dough cycle and start. When finished put dough on lightly floured surface and divide into 4 pieces and shape each into a long loaf. Place the loaves on a baking stone or cookie sheet dusted with cornmeal. Let raise 20-25 minutes in a warm place. Yield: 4 loaves.

    Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 18 minutes or until lightly brown in color.

    Remove from pan and cover to cool.
