Shrimp and Crab au Gratin

List of Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, 1/2 stick
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups hot milk
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
10 ounces crabmeat, picked over
10 ounces shelled raw shrimp, deveined
1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon paprika
additional grated Cheddar cheese
Recipe
1. Melt butter in saucepan and add salt and garlic. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually stir in hot milk. Stir in 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese until blended. Add shellfish and cheddar cheese. Bring to boil, then turn off heat.
2. Mix remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese with paprika and sprinkle half the mixture evenly over bottom of au gratin dish. Stir shellfish mixture well, then turn into the dish. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese and Cheddar cheese. (At this point, mixture may be frozen or refrigerated until ready to use.)
3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake seafood 8 minutes or until cheese melts. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
