Greek Fried Meatballs

3/4 cup bread crumbs, soaked in 1/2 cup water
1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 large yellow onion, peeled and chopped fine
3 T chopped parsley
1 teaspoon mint leaves
1 teaspoon oregano
2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
1 T olive oil
2 eggs
1 T fresh lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Flour for dredging
1 cup olive oil for frying (I poured maybe 1/4 inch oil into the pan)
Recipe
Squeeze the water from the bread crumbs and place in a mixing bowl along with the beef. Add all other ingredients except the flour and oil for frying. Mix well and form into small oblong meatballs.
Dredge each in flour and pan-fry in the olive oil until lightly browned and done to your taste. Do not dry them out!
