½ teaspoon minced garlic
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
1½ teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons honey
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 cup salad oil
¼ cup olive oil
Recipe
In a large bowl, mix together garlic, salt, basil, oregano, peppers, rosemary, sugar, honey, mustard and vinegars. Whisk thoroughly to combine.
Slowly drizzle in the oils, whisking constantly, to suspend ingredients in the oil.
Taste for seasoning. Chill in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before serving.
Makes 1½ cups.
