    KC Honey BBQ Wings

    Source of Recipe

    A & W

    List of Ingredients

    1 (12-ounce) can root beer
    1 cup ketchup
    1/4 cup honey
    1/4 cup vegetable oil
    2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
    1/2 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    2 pounds chicken wings

    Recipe

In a large bowl, combine root beer, ketchup, honey, oil, vinegar, pepper, garlic, Liquid Smoke, ginger and nutmeg. Add wings, cover and marinate in refrigerator for at least 8 hours.

    Preheat grill.

Remove wings from bowl and drain. Place marinade in a medium saucepan and boil for 10 to 12 minutes or to desired thickness, stirring occasionally. Grill wings over medium-low heat for 15 to 25 minutes or until juices run clear when pierced with fork and meat reaches internal temperature of 180 degrees. Turn and baste occasionally with boiled sauce.

    Serve with remaining boiled sauce.
