List of Ingredients
24 chicken wings
seasoning mix {see below}
vegetable oil for deep frying
3 carrots peeled and cut in strips
3 stalks celery cut in sticks
blue cheese dip see below
SEASONING MIX
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons chuli powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons cayenne
2 teaspoons salt 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
Mix in a bowl.
BUTTER SAUCE
1/4 cup melted butter
6 Tablespoons hot pepper sauce
Blend in a small saucepan
BLUE CHEESE DIP
1 egg
1 teaspoon dry mustard
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup blue cheese
2 scallions rinsed and finely chopped
ground black pepper
Blend well in food processor blender.
Add all ingredients and blend in, then refrigerate. Serve at room temperature.
Recipe
Rinse wings well in cold water then rinse on paper towels.
Dredge wings one at a time in seasoning mix.
Pour oil into a skillet to a depth of 1/2 inch and heat or heat oil in a deep fryer and heat to 375 degrees. Put wings a few at a time in the skillet and fry over medium heat for 15 minutes per batch. Remove from skillet or deep fryer with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Dip wings in butter sauce.
Serve with carrot and celery sticks, and blue cheese dressing on the side.
