    Stuffed Scones

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 tble sugar
    1/1 cup black walnuts
    2 tble lemon peel mixed with 2 more tbls sugar
    1/4 cup butter
    milk to mix

    Recipe



    Blend all dry ingredients, cut or rub in butter. This mixture may be kept in refrig until ready to add milk. Take out desired amount dry ingredients and add milk to make sticky dough. Pat out onto floured waxed paper into circle. Fold over onto self and cut into wedges. Baste with milk and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes until golden.

    Variation:
    Put 1/2 cup fruit (apples, peaches, or blueberries) into microwave safe dish, sprinkle with sugar and a touch of cinnamon. Microwave 45 seconds. Add fruit before folding and cutting scones into wedges. Bake as above.
