Hamburg Cassarole
List of Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
4 lg. potatoes, sliced
1 qt. canned green beans, drained
1 small onion, diced
Optional: Garlic powder to taste
Sauce:
2 c. milk
1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 t. salt
Recipe
Fry the ground beef and onion together, then drain. Empty into a 9"x13" dish. Add potatoes and green beans.
Heat the milk, then add cheese and warm it until the cheese melts. Take a small amount of milk and stir in flour and salt as a thickener. Add this to the milk and cheese.
Pour the sauce over the ingredients in the baking dish, then bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. If it appears to be getting a little dry, pour a little milk over the top.
Makes 6 to 8 servings
