1 CUP SOUR CREAM -- OK TO USE LIGHT
1 PACKAGE LEMON PUDDING MIX -- INSTANT
1 MEDIUM ORANGE
1 PINT FRESH STRAWBERRIES
1 PINT FRESH BLUEBERRIES
1 MEDIUM BANANA
1/4 CUP ALMONDS -- CHOPPED
1 CUP MILK -- SKIM IS OK
1 8OZ WHIPPED CREAM, LIGHT -- COOL WHIP
Recipe
8PREPARE THE YELLOW CAKE MIX AS DIRECTED ON THE PACKAGE AND COOL.
COMBINE MILK AND SOUR CREAM AND WHISK UNTIL SMOOTH. GRADUALLY MIX IN PUDDING MIX. STIR UNTIL THICK. SET ASIDE. CUT CAKE INTO 1-INCH CUBES. (EASIEST IF DONE IN A 9X13 PAN) HULL STRAWBERRIES AND SLICE WITH THE EGG SLICER. WASH BLUEBERRIES. SLICE BANANA SLICES W/GARNISHER.
PLACE 1/4 OF CAKE IN TRUFFLE BOWL (OR USE BATTER BOWL) SPRINKLE W/THE JUICE OF THE ORANGE. SPOON 1/2 OF PUDDING MIX OVER CAKE. LAYER FRUIT: STRAWBERRIES, BANANAS AND BLUEBERRIES AND THEN REPEAT CAKE, JUICE & PUDDING MIXTURE. REFRIGERATE FOR 20-30 MINUTES BEFORE EATING. SPRINKLE W/ALMONDS.
