4 lb. Spareribs
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 cup Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 cup Ketchup
1/2 cup Chili Sauce
2 Tbs. Vinegar
1 tsp. Salt
1 Tbs. prepared Mustard
1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
2 Tbs. Steak Sauce
1 cup Honey
Recipe
Cut the spareribs into serving potions, about 3-rib sections each. Place the spareribs in a large pot of boiling water and add the salt.
Let the water return to a boil, then reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 30-minutes.
Blend together the chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, chili sauce, vinegar, salt, prepared mustard, black pepper, steak sauce and honey in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-minutes.
Pre-heat the oven to 400-F degrees.
Lift the spareribs out of the boiling water and place them in a large, shallow roasting pan in a single layer. Pour or brush about one quarter of the honey barbecue mixture over the top of the ribs.
Bake for about 45-minutes or until the ribs are very tender. Baste about every 15 minutes with the remaining honey mixture and turn the ribs occasionally. Serve warm.(Serves 4 to 6)
