List of Ingredients
- 1/2 cups corn meal
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 Tbs Butter
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 cake quick acting yeast
- 1/2 cup luke warm water
- 4 3/4 cups
Instructions
- Stir corn meal very slow into boiling water stiring constantly. Boil for 5 more minutes and then add butter and molasses and salt.Cool, do not cover. When luke warm add yeast cake that has been softened in 1/2 cup luke warm water.
- Add Flour for stiff dough, knead well and let rise until double in bulk. Shape into loaves. Place in pantry to rise until double in bulk again.
- Bake at 300 for 1 hour.
