    List of Ingredients




    3 slices bacon, diced
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1 cup potato, pared & chopped
    1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 bay leaf
    1 cup water
    1 12oz pkg. frozen cod or haddock fillets, cut up
    1 10 oz pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup cream




    Recipe



    Cook bacon until crisp & reserve.
    Add onions to drippings and sautte.
    Add potato, water, salt & bayleaf.
    Simmer covered for 10 minutes.
    Add fish & vegetables; cook 5 to 10 minutes longer or just until fish and vegetables are tender.
    Heat milk & cream.
    Add to saucepan & heat through.
    Transfer to soup bowls; sprinkle crumbled bacon on top
