    CAJUN SWEET DOUGH FIG PIE

    4 Cups Flour
    1/2 Tsp. Salt
    4 Tsp. Baking Powder
    1 Cup Sugar
    2 Eggs
    1/2 Cup Shortening
    Fig Preserves
    1/2 Cup Milk
    1 Tsp. Vanilla

    Recipe




    Directions:
    Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Cream together sugar,eggs, and shortening. Combine the mixtures alternately with milk and vanilla. Roll out to about 1/2 to 1 inch thick. Spread the fig (or other preserves) on 1/2 the dough and fold over. Bake at 350 degrees until brown. Slice into bars.
