NO--MIX BLACKBERRY COBBLER

No-Mix Blackberry Cobbler
Makes 6 servings
5 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups sugar, divided use
2 cups fresh blackberries
2/3 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
notes: Frozen blackberries work well for this recipe.
Recipe
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and pour into a deep baking dish or ovenproof pan; set aside. Stir 1/2 cup sugar into fruit and set aside. Sift the flour,remaining sugar, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl, then whisk in the milk. Pour batter into prepared baking dish or pan, but do not mix. Pour fruit over batter, but do not mix. Bake for 50 minutes, until puffy and golden brown. Serve warm.
