    Recipe Introduction

It wouldn't be Christmas without buckeyes !

    List of Ingredients

5-6 bags of chocolate chips ( for dipping )
    1lb butter or margarine softened
    2lbs peanut butter(28 oz jar plus a 1/2 cup)
    3lbs confectioners sugar

    Recipe

Mix all ingredients except chips. Roll into balls in the palm of your hand and place on waxed paper lined cookie sheets. These need to be cold before dipping in chocolate so refrigerate for a while or use April's trick of putting them outside on the porch .
Melt several bags of chocolate in a double boiler . Insert a toothpick into cooled balls of peanut butter and dip them. Don't totally cover leave a small amount of peanut butter showing so they look like buckeyes.. Place them back on wax paper and refrigerate , or, as above use mother nature until they are set and cooled(approx 30 mins) . Package and deliver and see the faces light up !
