Santa Fe Casserole
List of Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 half teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 half teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 half teaspoon onion powder
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 quarter cup flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (7 oz) diced green chiles
- 1 package of fritos corn chips
- 2 cups grated cheddar or monterey jack cheese
- 1 half cup sliced green onions
Instructions
- Brown meat in medium skillet, drain. Add spices and combine well. In small bowl combine broth and flour. Add to meat mixture; bring to a boil to thicken liquid.
- Stir in sour cream and chiles, blending well. In a 13 by 9 greased glass baking dish place a layer of chips, top with beef mixture. Add another layer of chips and the cheddar cheese. Place green onions in 4 diagonal lines atop the casserole. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees
for 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
