Melt butter in microwave. Brush on 1 side of each slice of bread and dip into parmasan until generously covered.
Preheat large skillet on medium and add 1 tablespoon butter to coat pan.
Put 2 bread slices, parmasan side down in preheated pan.I like to cook 1 sandwich at a time, so I place american and mozzerella on one side and provolone and cheddar on other side. Cook until golden brown and place sandwich slices together. Cook appox 15 seconds more for cheeses to melt together.Repeat with remaining sandwiches. Serve immediately
