- Vegetable oil
- 1 package (7.5 ounces) refrigerated country-style biscuits (10 biscuits)
- 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
- In a soup pot, heat 1 inch of oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking
- Separate the biscuits and lay flat on a cutting board. Using an apple corer or a plastic soda bottle cap, cut out a small circle in the center of each biscuit, forming rings.
- Place the rings and the "holes" in the hot oil a few at a time and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until golden, turning halfway through the cooking.
- Drain the donuts on a paper towel-lined platter. Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar and serve immediately.
