2 - 6 ounce Salmon Steaks
3 Tablespoons Honey
1 Tablespoon Chili Powder

Turn your grill on High. Let it heat up all the way! Rinse the steaks and pat dry w/ a paper towel. Set the fish on the grill. Cooking time depends on the thickness of the steak and how well you like it done. If you’ve got the grill hot enough, it may only need as little as 2 minutes on the first side and a minute and a half on the second side for a medium-rare steak.
In a small cup - or saucepan if you’re making three or more pieces of fish - mix the chili powder and honey together. You only need to heat it up a little so it becomes less viscous - 20-35 seconds in a microwave or over low heat in a saucepan. Taste it before you serve it! The honey really takes the kick out of the chili powder, so if you like it spicy, add more chili powder!
When the fish is done, simply pour the honey/chili powder mixture over the fish. We like to serve this w/ a corn and black bean salad – there’s a great recipe in Heal Your Heart - or with a mixed green salad.
