List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter; at room temp.
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- To prepare the dough, in a bowl, using an electric mixer on medium speed, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the egg yolk, vanilla and lemon extracts, and cream and mix until incorporated.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour and salt. Add to the butter mixture and, using the mixer on low speed, mix until incorporated. Remove from the bowl. press into a thick square on a sheet of plastic wrap, enclose in the wrap, and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
