Spiced Oat Brand Bread

Recipe Introduction
Oat Bran is known as a good product to lower cholesterol but this bread is so tasty. It is a little on the sweet side but one could use guava or maybe even apple sauce. It is suggested to eat one big slice daily.
List of Ingredients
2 c. oat bran (bulk)
1 c. + 3 TB water
2 TB ground flax seed, divided
½ c. sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground ginger
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
1-2 TB molasses
1 TB baking powder
Vegetable oil spray
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Oil the baking pan(s). (Use more than one if small.)
3. Mix 1 TB ground flax seed with 3 TB water. Let sit for several minutes. (simulates egg)
4. Mix together all ingredients (including ground flax seed /water mixture) except baking powder. Stir well.
5. Add baking powder and stir well for 30 seconds.
6. Pour mixture into greased loaf pan(s).
7. Bake for 30-40 min, or until a knife or probe inserted in middle comes out clean.
8. Eat a thick slice daily.
