    Recipe Introduction

Gosh, I can remember long ago when this recipe was so popular that it was a main stay on the dessert line. While we may have moved on to more glorious desserts, this one is still a winner. I hope you will revive old memories and make one of these today.

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups graham cracker crumbs
    5 tablespoons melted margarine
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 stick margarine
    2 eggs
    3 bananas
    1 can crushed pineapple
    large cool whip
    chopped nuts for garnish

Mix crumbs and melted margarine, press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish. Beat powdered sugar, vanilla and 1 stick of margarine together for 10 minutes; this step is very important. Then add the eggs; continue to beat. Spread over crumb layer; peel bananas and cut in half lengthwise; place over creamed layer. Drain pineapple thoroughly; spoon over bananas. Cover with cool whip. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill four hours.
