    Chocolate Custard Cake

    Recipe Introduction

    This cake recipe is considerated low fat and lets face it,most times when we see low fat, the product made is not usually very good to our taste buds. Well, surprise, this recipe is very good and so fine that you could serve it to company and they will think that you have slaved in the kitchen all day. So don't be shy, go ahead and bake this for your next party.

    List of Ingredients

    2 Tablespoons cocoa
    1 tablespoon oil
    1/3 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    2 egg yolks
    2 cups evaporated skim milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    4 egg whites

    Mix cocoa and oil in a small bowl; stir well, and set aside. Mix sugar and next 4 ingredients in container of an electric blender; process at medium speed until smooth. With blender running, pour cocoa mixture into blender; process until smooth. Pour mixture into a large bowl. Beat egg whites at room temperature until stiff peaks form. Stir a small amount of whites into chocolate mixture; fold in remaining whites. Spoon mixutre into a 2 quart baking dish coated with spray. Place dish in a larger shallow pan; add water to depth of 1 inch. Bake at 325 for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. cover and chill. Spoon into individual dishes for 9 servings.
