    Wonderful Strawberry Cake

    Recipe Introduction

    My son had a birthday coming up and when I ask him what kind of cake he would like, he replied, "Strawberry". I searched and found this simple, yet very good cake and he requested this same recipe on several occasions. I hope you enjoy it.

    List of Ingredients

    1 package white cake mix
    1-(3 ounce) package of strawberry gelatin
    3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    4 eggs
    1 package of 10 ounce frozen sweetened strawberries thawed
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup butter or maragine softened
    5 to 6 cups confectioners' sugar

    In mixing bowl, mix cake mix, gelatin and flour. Beat in oil and eggs. Drain strawberries, reserving 1/2 cup syrup for frosting. Add berries and water to batter; mix well. Grease pans and pour batter into pans. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tests done. cool for 10 minutes; remove from pans to cool. In a small mixing bowl, combine butter and reserved syrup. gradually add sugar; beat until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Frost cake and refrigerate.
